The church is located at the eastern edge of the town, on a slight elevation. Its construction, carried out in ashlar and granite masonry, follows the typology of a single nave with three bays and a main chapel with a straight end wall. Although the present church was built mainly between the 16th and 18th centuries, remains of the earlier Romanesque structure are preserved, such as in the north wall, where fragments of cornice, fillet, and chamfer can be found; in addition, there is a portal from the early 13th century, with a pointed double arch, a vestige of the original church.
